A Buddhist shrine located on top of the Rumassala Mountain which represents the world peace and one of emblem for peace which has been created by Japanese. They have built this great pagoda on the historically valuable place which related to King Rawan. The view is picturesque and truly amazing. It is the best place to observe the Galle city. This is something that never missed because it is close to Jungle beach also. Also, it is one of a greatest hot spot for watching the sunset. Many Buddhists, as well as foreigners, visit here to feel the tranquility. Japanese built this pagoda as a symbol for peace and to protect Sri Lanka and there are several pagoda located in other parts of Sri Lanka.
